Age UK
Milton Keynes
Working as a Digital Inclusion Officer for Age UK Milton Keynes was an incredibly rewarding experience that deepened my understanding of the challenges older adults face in the digital world. I taught individuals in their homes and led group sessions in care homes, helping them navigate various technologies—from smartphones and tablets to online services—empowering them to stay connected and independent.
Beyond hands-on teaching, I created digital guides and resources to support ongoing learning. I also contributed to Age UK’s social media presence across Twitter (X), Facebook, and Instagram, raising awareness about digital inclusion.
A key highlight was speaking to the local council about the importance of digital accessibility, advocating for greater support and initiatives to bridge the digital divide for older generations.
Social Media Posts
As a Digital Inclusion Officer at Age UK Milton Keynes, I was also given the privilege to manage their social media profiles, including Twitter (X), Facebook, and Instagram, to enhance engagement and outreach.
